As a personal trainer one of the most asked questions is how many calories should I eat to lose weight? Now the problem here is that people are not told the whole truth about this question and that is why people are beginning to get fatter each and every single day so it is time to finally learn the truth about losing weight and effective diet.

There are so many bogus diets out there that simply do not work and so called healthy foods that are really just sugar loaded and will only cause you to put on weight so listen up for the facts.

Okay so how many calories should I eat to lose weight?

Well if you are a male you are going to need more calories then a female every day but you need to realise that you should not be scared of the word diet. Most people tend to cringe when they hear the word diet because they associate it with low amounts of boring foods but if you to lose weight this is not the answer.

I have had clients with extraordinary results and they actually ate the same amount of calories as they did before but they started to eat 5 to 6 smaller meals a day and only chose healthy options. Healthy foods can be very tasty as long as you know what you are doing and I have no doubt that you will feel better after eating them as well.

Calories for men wanting lose weight a day would be roughly estimated at 2400 calories and women would need about 2000 calories which is actually a large amount if you eat healthy foods. You could eat a whole pizza and blow your calorie total in that meal or you could eat 25 bananas. The choice is yours to make but as you can see the healthier foods are always the best way to go.
